Mental Health Month 2024

In 2024, I was given the incredible opportunity to work with the Mental Health Coalition of South Australia, to design their branding and all of the collateral, for Mental Health Month in October 2024.

The theme in 2024 was, ‘It’s time to talk about mental health’. My design, a clock character blowing bubbles, was a fun and eye-catching way of getting this message across, while keeping it approachable and positive. As the target audience for this brief was quite literally anyone, I wanted to design a friendly character that both young & older audiences would feel drawn to. For the younger audiences, he’s a cute character! For the older audiences, it would remind them of things like CupHead or old TV shows from the early 1900’s. The art-style itself is called Rubber Hose Animation. Either way, I wanted it to be something anyone could look at & relate to, and find themselves taking in the important message that the character is telling.
